CORNWALL, Ontario - A woman with years of experience in the world of charity is taking on a new role.
Kim Lauzon, former interim executive director for the local United Way office, has assumed the same role with Rachel's Kids - but on a full-time basis.
A media release from Rachel's Kids confirmed the new executive director will be paid via private monies so that the funds collected to help children, both locally and internationally, will not be altered.
"2014 is a big year for Rachel’s Kids Foundation, marking our 10th anniversary," the charity said in its release. "At Rachel’s Kids we have always been proud that 95 per cent of the funds raised go to our causes and this hasn’t changed.
"We look forward to Kim’s expertise in helping Rachel’s Kids to manage our growth and our part in the community."
More to come.
