CORNWALL, Ontario – The Cornwall Hospital Foundation on Thursday announced that Erin Killoran, a former Heart and Stroke Foundation staple with 13 years experience, is their new executive director.

Allan Wilson, chair of the foundation’s board of directors, says Killoran demonstrated remarkable leadership by stepping into the role of acting executive director, after former executive director Connie Vardy retired earlier this year.

“Erin was the search committee’s unanimous choice among a strong field of candidates,” said Wilson in a media statement.

Before stepping into her interim role at the foundation, Killoran was the manager of development and major gifts—an integral member of the To Your Health! campaign team that raised $3.5 million in less than one year.

The foundation is betting on her wealth of experience in senior roles, specifically her 13-year tenure with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, one of Canada’s leading health charities.

Killoran holds a bachelor of arts degree in health studies from Brock University.

Erin brings her passion for enhancing and strengthening the foundation’s impact on generating revenue for our hospital to meet the growing needs of our community,” he said.

QUICK FACTS

Established in 2004, the foundation is a registered charity with a mission to partner with the Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) in raising funds to provide high-quality health services and equipment for the various communities served by the hospital.

Through great generosity, this region is now benefiting from a brand new west wing and state-of-the-art emergency room, operating room, and MRI.
