CORNWALL, Ontario - A new website has been launched to help market tourism, business growth and just about every other experience one can imagine in South Dundas and South Stormont.
At a ceremony Thursday 'uppercanadaregion.ca' had its grand unveiling. While the website has been operational for weeks, South Dundas economic development officer Nicole Sullivan said the new portal will showcase the assets of the neighbouring townships to visitors and investors alike.
"Yes it's a geographic area. But what is it really?" she said. "We want to be able to showcase any experience that anyone will have in South Dundas and South stormont.
As an exmaple there are links to eight signature attractions in the area, as well as news about recent additions to the region like the UAP Logistics Distribution Centre and Homestead Organics.
"We're at a point now today where we can show off what we are developing," said Sullivan, adding traffic on the website has spiked in the last few weeks.
