Cornwall Motor Speedway
CORNWALL, Ontario - The 2014 DIRT racing season at the Cornwall Motor Speedway begins this weekend - we hope.
The long-range weather forecast indicates it will be a wet weekend, which could play havoc with the kickoff to the racing calendar.
The 2014 season will begin Sunday with the Minute Auto Wash 100. It will be the highlight of the race program as the best 358-Modified drivers in the northeast will hit Cornwall to compete in the 100-lap feature event.
Defending DIRTcar 358-Modified Series champion, Erick Rudolph, will lead a pack of invaders that will include Cornwall track champion Mario Clair, Mat Williamson, David Hébert and Danny O’Brien, who will compete against local stars such as Laurent Ladouceur, Stephane Lafrance, Carey Terrance, Joel Doiron, Brian McDonald, Chris Raabe and several others.
A complete race program is also on the card for Sportsman, Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock.
The first heat race is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
