CORNWALL, Ontario - The weather in the Cornwall area is set to take a major downturn.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the region. The forecast suggests that between 50 and 70 mm of rain - maybe more if we expereince some powerful thunderstorms that are possible - will begin falling late Wednesday morning.
"Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads," the weather service said in a statement.
The rain is expected to continue until Thursday afternoon.
