A groundbreaking ceremony for Habitat's 11th home build on Larin Avenue in Cornwall will take place on Monday, June 16, at 7p.m.
The home will be built for Jennifer Mondoux and her three young children.
Habitat launched its fundraising season in mid-May, and the events are starting to pile up.
The Academy of Learning College (225 Pitt Street) is hosting a barbecue in their support on Wednesday, June 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. If it rains, the event will be held in the car port at the back of the building.
Besides serving hot food and cold beverages, the college will also be collecting e-waste including old computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, laptops, etc.
The next fundraiser, hosted by Shoeless Joe's, kicks off on Thursday, June 26, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
It boasts raffle prizes, a silent auction table, and a stellar lineup of the area's music scene. Shoeless will also be donating 10 per cent of their sales that evening to Habitat.
Live entertainment starts at 7 p.m.
Musical acts include Stephanie Coleman w/Haley Johnston, Eric Beauregard, Peter Fortin, Mandee Woods, Tracy Lalonde, Keegan Larose, and Subtle (Ryan O'Neil and Amanda Leger).
