Knives pulled by teens, police lay charges

CORNWALL, Ontario - A pair of Cornwall teens have been charged by police after knives were pulled in an altercation.

Police said on Sunday, in the area of Ninth and Sydney streets, the duo became involved in an argument with another 17-year-old.

During the argument the pair of teens each brandished a knife.

Police were called and the following charges have been laid against both youths: assault with a weapon, threats to life and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Both youths were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Their names were not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
