CORNWALL, Ontario - Cornwall firefighters responded to a small blaze Wednesday night at the corner of Third and York streets.

The fire, which was reported at 7 p.m., charred the side of a large piece machinery sitting inside a fenced off area where C.H. Clement Construction is currently building condominiums.

Platoon Chief Robert Cotnam told Seaway News that four fire trucks and 10 firefighters were deployed.

A portion of Third Street was shut down as firefighters quickly doused the fire.

Cotnam said there were no injuries.

C.H. Clement Construction representatives were unavailable for comment.

Foul play is not suspected.
