Paws of Mind: OSPCA fundraiser features pet psychic
Don't miss the OSPCA of SDG's fundraising event with a telepathic twist at Pet Valu in Cornwall on Saturday

CORNWALL, Ontario – Find out what your pooch or feline really thinks – a psychic medium will be unleashing the inner barks and meows of pets in Cornwall on Saturday, September 27.

Cornwall psychic Tracy O’Flaherty will be giving “pet readings” for $20 at Pet Valu in the Seaway Shopping Plaza located at 1400 Vincent Massey Drive, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry branch of the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA).

“Pet owners are invited to bring their furry friends to make a connection and I’ll let them know what’s in the heart of their pet,” said O’Flaherty.

By speaking with the pet owner she’s able to communicate the animal’s stress over a lost toy or an uncomfortable harness causing them anxiety.

O’Flaherty doesn’t consider herself a typical mind reader either.

Besides being an intuitive healer who specializes in private psychic medium conversations, groups sessions, and “transcendent” healing, she‘s also a certified personal development educator.

“It’s more of a healing and a soothing of the heart rather than entertainment,” she said.

O’Flaherty noted that she was “born with the gift,” but only started professionally as a psychic in fall 2013.

“It was when I was ready they came knocking,” she said. “There was a strong desire from others for my gift to surface.”

David Halliday, who owns Pet Valu with his wife Ann, was glad to support the OSPCA and offer his space free of charge.

“Unfortunately, there are many unwanted pets and ferral cats in our community,” said Halliday. “The OSPCA is the only local shelter where at least they have a chance of being adopted and finding a forever-home.”
