CORNWALL, Ontario - Police have nabbed six people and a large supply of marijuana in a major drug bust believed to be linked to Mexico.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed search warrants at properties on Concession Road 7 and Cuthbert Road in South Glengarry on Wednesday, August 27.
The street value of the drugs seized is estimated at over $4 million.
A total of 3775 mature marijuana plants, 186 pounds of marijuana bud, 237 pounds of marijuana shake and 75 pounds of a mixture to produce marijuana resin were all found in the series of raids.
Officers also dismantled an elaborate marijuana production drying system, which included several pieces of industrial equipment.
Members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau - Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), Project Paradigm, and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) assisted in the investigation.
Alexander Just (57) of South Glengarry, David McDowall (57) of Hawkesbury, Kenneth Mousseau (66) of Ottawa, Angel Castro Garcia (39), Pedro Arenas Muniz (41) and Silvestre Martinez Tapia (50) all from Mexico, were arrested and each charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of production of a controlled substance.
Just was held in custody and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on August 28.
He is scheduled to re-appear on October 29. All others were released and scheduled to appear on October 29.
