Traffic stop nets three stolen long-guns

CORNWALL, Ontario – A routine traffic stop by Cornwall police patrol officers Thursday resulted in three arrests and the apprehension of guns, drugs, and stolen property.

Police said that a group of men were pulled over in the area of Ninth and Gloucester streets.

Alexandre Therrien, 31, of Grenville, Quebec, Mathiew Kingsley, 24, and Ryan Parsons, 31, both from Hawkesbury, were charged as follows:

Possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm obtained by crime, possession of property obtained by crime, personation, and obstruct justice.

Mathiew Kingsley

Possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm obtained by crime, possession of a firearm contrary to order, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Ryan Parsons

The three men were held for a bail hearing.
