SD&G OPP blotter update.

CORNWALL, Ontario – Provincial police are searching for the thief or thieves who stole nearly $10,000 worth of copper wire from a Chesterville business.

SD&G OPP say between Dec. 5 and 7 roughly 900-feet of the heavy wiring was taken from a compound on Emma Street in North Dundas.

“Metal is a quick resell so it’s a hot commodity for thieves,” said Cst. Joel Doiron.

To help police foil the brassy efforts of copper bandits, contact SD&G OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
