CORNWALL, Ontario – A man and woman are dead after a motorcycle and van collided near Winchester on Thursday night.
SD&G OPP responded to an 8:05 p.m. 911 call reporting a fatal crash on Belmeade Road.
Police have identified the two people on the motorcycle as Shea Laughlin, 24, of Osgoode, Ont., and her passenger Marc Sabourin, 31, also of Osgoode, Ont. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the motorcycle was headed eastbound when a westbound van entered the lane and collided with the bike.
The 41-year-old Ottawa man driving the van was not injured, but the passenger suffered minor injuries.
SD&G OPP officers and OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) attended the scene.
Charges are pending.
