Duo charged after man ripped off at knife-point

CORNWALL, Ontario – A pair from Cornwall have been charged with stealing a tablet from a man while brandishing a knife.

Raven Thompson-MacDonald, 18 and Adam Lacoste-Marshall, 23 both of Cornwall were arrested and charged with robbery, while Lacoste-Marshall was also charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of probation and recognizance for failing to keep the peace.

Police said last month a man and a woman took a tablet from a 22-year-old man known to them and one of those accused brandished a knife.

Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Last month Thompson-MacDonald attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 11.

On Sunday Lacoste-Marshall was located by police at a Brookdale Avenue restaurant, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
