CORNWALL, Ontario – What do a 2001: A Space Odyssey vet, the original ‘Hot Lip’s O’Houlihan and a Star Trek minx have in common?

They’ll all be in Cornwall next spring for the second coming of the Cornwall and Area Pop Event (CAPE).

Star Trek fans will recognize the three previously mentioned stars and a trio of others who will help headline the event that takes place April 23 and 24 at the Benson Centre in Cornwall.

Gary Lockwood – who starred in 2001: A Space Odyssey as Frank Poole (while also playing Lt. Cmdr. Gary Mitchell on star Trek), Sally Kellerman – who played Major Margaret “Hot Lips” O’Houlihan in Robert Altman’s 1970 smash hit M*A*S*H* (and Dr. Elizabeth Dehner on Star Trek), BarBara Luna – Lt. Marlena Moreau on Star Trek, Michael Forest – Apollo on Star Trek, Sean Kenney – Star Trek’s original Capt. Christopher Pike and Louise Sorel – Rayna Kapec on Star Trek, have confirmed their attendance at the event.

“We were surprised all six of them said they could make it,” said Carol Grant, who along with fiancé Randy Sauve, is organizing the 2015 edition of Cornwall’s version of Comicon.

Grant said the six Hollywood stars will be available for photographs and to meet sci-fi fans of every stripe.

“They’ll be at CAPE for the full two days,” added Sauve. “They’re coming to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek.”

The Cornwall couple got a chance to rub shoulders with Luna at a Star Trek-type show in Ticonderoga, N.Y. where the seeds of a budding business relationship were sewn.
