St-Catharines man charged in connection with sex assault on bus

CORNWALL, Ontario – SD&G OPP have charged a 35-year-old man after an alleged sexual assault aboard a commercial bus travelling on Highway 401 in South Dundas.

Officers were called to the scene at 5:22 a.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 3).

Police say a woman was sexually assaulted by the suspect on the bus.

Hans Caicedo was charged with sexual assault.

The man is scheduled to appear in a Morrisburg court on Dec. 15.

Car broken into overnight

A vehicle was robbed on Street Road in South Glengarry between November 3-4. SD&G OPP say a laptop computer, jewellery, and cash were stolen.

An investigation continues.

Man charged with seven counts of breach of probation

A traffic stop led to the arrest of a Cornwall man at 1:53 a.m. on Nov. 5.

SD&G OPP say the driver was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident – not to be in possession of identification cards with a data strip or security chip.

Zabiullah Rahimi, 21, was charged with failing to comply with his probation order (seven counts).
