Acts of violence result in plea for help from Cornwall cops

CORNWALL, Ontario – Two isolated acts of violence that sent victims to the hospital have resulted in a plea for help from the Cornwall police.

City police are looking for the public’s assistance after a man who was walking in the area of the bike path near Marlborough Street was assaulted by unknown individuals.

The attack, which took place May 29, sent the man to the hospital.

In another incident police were contacted to investigate an incident that took place in the area of Louisa Street where a man suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries to his head.

Police believe the incidents are isolated and the public’s safety is not a concern.
