Arrest made in Cenotaph vandalism case
The War Memorial on Second and Bedford Streets was defaced on Sunday night.

CORNWALL, Ontario – The Cornwall Community Police Service announced on Tuesday morning that they have arrested one Dustin O’Byrne, 21, of Cornwall on charges of mischief to a war memorial, four counts of mischief and breach of probation.

It is alleged that O’Byrne is the one who spray painted a green “CY” on the front of the war memorial on the corner of Second and Bedford Streets in the Legion Memorial Park.

The police did not say how O’Byrne came to be identified with the vandalism, but did say that he was located and arrested on July 11.

O’Byrne is being held until a bail hearing.
