CORNWALL, Ontario – The Boys an Girls Club were this year’s beneficiaries of Home Depot’s Orange Door Fundraiser in Cornwall.

The Orange Door fundraiser involved Home Depot customers buying orange paper doors from Home Depot with the store donating the money raised to a local non-profit.

This year the fundraiser raised more than $5, 000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Cornwall.

Team Depot spent an additional $1, 000 on buying paints, supplies and tools for some outdoor landscaping.

On Wednesday, Oct. 12, six volunteers from Cornwall’s Home Depot arrived at the Boys and Girls Club to paint the main hall and do some light yard work outside.

“This has been five years of doing the Orange Door project with them,” said Boys and Girls Club Communications and Marketing Coordinator Trevor Smith. “We’re lucky enough to be their receipients.”

The volunteers were all employees of the Home Depot in Cornwall who had elected to spend their day off painting for the Boys and Girls Club.
