LANCASTER, Ontario – Oct. 17, 2016 – Habitat for Humanity Seaway Valley welcomed the community to their latest build in Lancaster, Ontario on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016. Approximately 70 community members joined to share in well wishes and witness Manon Brousseau and her children cut the ribbon to their new home.

“Our first ever Glengarry build has demonstrated how supportive this community is and what team work can really accomplish,” said Leigh Taggart, executive director Habitat for Humanity Seaway Valley.

The key ceremony comes after a year of hard work and dedication from Partner Family, Manon Brousseau and her three children, donors, sponsors, community members and volunteers.

Platinum sponsors The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group, Mary Lee Smith, and St. Lawrence College were also on hand to assist with the ribbon cutting.

Manon will be purchasing her new home from Habitat for Humanity Seaway Valley at fair market value with an interest free mortgage and payments that will never exceed more than 25 percent of her income.
