Cornwall Community Police Service (CCPS) blotter update.

ASSAULT, BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 29th, 2014 and charged with break and enter and assault. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of May 29th, 2014 the man gained entry into his 36-year-old ex-girlfriend’s residence without her permission and during an argument pushed her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation they located the man who had left the scene at his residence. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – James Seyeau, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on May 27th, 2014 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on May 13th, 2014 the man attended an Amelia Street address and removed several fuel pumps from the back yard without permission. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 27th, 2014 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 26th, 2014.

Cornwall, ON – Katlen Moore, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on May 27th, 2014 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on May 27th, 2014 the woman attended a Second Street East store and removed packages of meat making no attempts to pay for them. The woman was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR PRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Rodney Seguin, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on May 26th, 2014 and charged with failing to appear for prints. It is alleged that on May 7th, 2014 the man failed to attend police headquarters for prints as required. On May 26th, 2014 the man was located by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service in the area of Walton Street and McConnell Avenue and taken into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Laura Primeau, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on May 26th, 2014 and charged with breaching her recognizance for failing to report to police as required. She was also charged with breaching two probation orders for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on May 23rd, 2014 the woman failed to attend police headquarters as required to sign in and an investigation ensued. On May 26th, 2014 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service spotted the woman walking in the area of Walton Street and McConnell Ave. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Stephanie Portieous, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on May 26th, 2014 on the strength of a probation office warrant. It is alleged that the woman breached her conditional sentence order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 26th, 2014 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, On – Alyssa Tomkins-Demers, 19 of Maxville was arrested on May 22nd, 2014 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the woman failed to attend court on January 7th, 2014 and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 22nd, 2014 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Cornwall Courthouse as the woman was being held on an unrelated matter. She was arrested on the strength of the warrant and remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Katlen Moore, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on May 22nd, 2014 and charged with breaching her recognizance for failing to attend scheduled appointments as directed. It is alleged that the woman failed to attend scheduled appointments on May 9th, 2014 and May 15th, 2014 despite being on condition to report as directed. On May 22nd, 2014 a Member of the Cornwall Community Police Service spotted the woman in the area of Alice Street. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTER, POSSESSION BREAK IN TOOLS

Cornwall, ON – Michael Tessier, 60 of Cornwall was arrested on May 22nd, 2014 and charged with break and enter and possession of break in tools. It is alleged that on May 22nd, 2014 police attended a Second Street West site in relation to a break and enter in progress. Once on scene police learned that the owner of the property located the man within one of the buildings and contacted police. The man who was still on scene when police arrived was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held in custody.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – Tyler Blain, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on May 21st, 2014 and charged with possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that on May 21st, 2014 police attended the bike path in the area of Emma Street in relation to a suspicious activity call. Once on scene police located the man and found that he was in possession of a quantity of marihuana. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 3rd, 2014.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Samantha McCormick, 18 of Cornwall was arrested on May 21st, 2014 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the woman failed to attend court on May 15th, 2014 for a fraud related charge and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 21st, 2014 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – Kathleen White, 53 of Cornwall was arrested on May 22nd, 2014 and charged with mischief along with being intoxicated in a public place. It is alleged that on May 22nd, 2014 police were called to attend the 100 block of Belmont Street for a disturbance call. Once on scene police learned that the intoxicated woman broke a car’s tail light with a hammer. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held until sober.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Nicole Chagnon, 44 of Lachine, Quebec was arrested on May 20th, 2014 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the woman failed to attend court on March 24th, 2014 on a fraud over $5000 charge and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 20th, 2014 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended Montreal to assume custody of the woman as she was being detained by Montreal Police on the strength of the warrant. She was taken into custody and transported to Cornwall where she was held for a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTER, MISCHIEF, ASSULT CAUSE BODILY HARM, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Rockey Marzano, 21 of Cornwall and Adam Garlough, 20 of Long Sault were both arrested on May 17th, 2014 and charged with break and enter, while Garlough was also charged with assault cause bodily harm, threats and mischief. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of May 17th, 2014 the two men forced their way into a Second Street East apartment at which time Garlough struck one of the occupants on the head causing a cut to the man’s head, he then punched a television causing it be damaged. It is also alleged that shortly after the two men left the apartment Garlough contacted one of the occupants and threatened to cut his throat. Police were contacted and located the two men in the area. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court at a later date.

IMPAIRED, BREACH, DRIVE SUSPENDED

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Jasper, 22 of Williamstown was arrested on May 16th, 2014 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, breach of a conditional sentence order for being out past curfew and consuming alcohol. He was also charged with driving a motor vehicle while suspended. It is alleged that on May 16th, 2014 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Second Street and Nick Kaneb Drive. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop and charged accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Amanda Tryon, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on May 20th, 2014 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the woman failed to attend court on May 15th, 2014 and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 20th, 2014 the woman who was in custody on unrelated matters was arrested on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – Steven Connor, 44 of Cornwall was arrested on May 13th, 2014 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged that the man attended a local bank on May 2nd, 2014 despite having been warned by police not to return. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 13th, 2014 the man was spotted walking on Montreal Road by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Ernest Corbiere, 38 of Williamstown was arrested on May 13th, 2014 on the strength of a warrant for having failed to attend court. It is alleged that on May 12th, 2014 the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 13th, 2014 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Meagan Locker, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on May 13th, 2013 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the woman failed to attend court on May 6th, 2014 and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 13th, 2014 during a traffic stop in the area of First Street and Prince Arthur Street the woman was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

PERSONATION, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jamie Garlow, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on May 14th, 2014 and charged with personation and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of May 14th, 2014 the man falsely identified himself to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 26th, 2014.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR PRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Brian Colborne, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on May 14th, 2014 and charged with failing to attend for prints. It is alleged that on April 28th, 2014 the man failed to attend police headquarters as required for prints and an investigation ensued. On May 14th, 2014 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service spotted the man, took him into custody and charged him accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR PRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Lori Ann Roberts, 44 of Cornwall was arrested on May 12th, 2014 and charged with failing to attend for prints. It is alleged that on May 2nd, 2014 the woman failed to attend police headquarters as required for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. On May 12th, 2014 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 12th, 2014.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Aden Sullivan, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on May 12th, 2014 and charged with failing to attend for prints and breach of probation for failing to notify a change of address and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that the man failed to attend police headquarters for a scheduled appointment and an investigation ensued. On May 12th, 2014 police located the man and learned that he failed to notify a change of address. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Laura Primeau, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on May 13th, 2014 on the strength of a warrant for having failed to attend court. It is alleged that the woman failed to attend court on May 8th, 2014 for a theft under $5000 charge and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 13th, 2014 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service spotted the woman walking on Montreal Road. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

DRUG WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – As the result of a drug warrant that was executed by the Cornwall Street Crime Unit on May 9th, 2014 at a Louisa Street address a quantity of drugs was located and seized. The following persons from Cornwall were charged with a number of drug offences.

Paul Kameka, 35 yrs of age:

  • Possession of hydromorphone
  • Possession of fentanyl
  • Possession of marijuanaBreach of probation

Daniel Roach, 34 yrs of age:

  • Possession of cocaine
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of hydromorphone
  • Possession of hash
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine

Toshena Hill, 25 years of age:

  • Possession of cocaine
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of hydromorphone
  • Possession of hashPossession of marijuana
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine

All three individuals were taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 3rd, 2014.

TRESPASS BY NIGHT, CONCEALED WEAPON, BREACH, POSSESSION, TRAFFICKING

Cornwall, ON – Taylor Bergeron, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on May 10th, 2014 and charged with:

  • Trespass by night
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of break and enter tools
  • Breach of recognizance for not residing at a specified address, being in the possession of drugs and carrying a weapon,

It is alleged that in the early morning hours of May 10th, 2014 while responding to a suspicious person call in the in the area of Frances Ann Avenue, police located the man carrying what was believed to be stolen property. Upon speaking with the man police found him to be concealing a BB handgun. He was taken into custody and during this time he was also found to be in possession of a substance believed to be marihuana, break in tools and the stolen property. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Kimberly Russell, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on May 8th, 2014 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on April 28th, 2014 during an argument on Pitt Street she struck a 22-year-old woman in the eye. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 8th, 2014 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was later released to appear in court on June 14th, 2014.

Cornwall, ON – Katlyn Moore, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on May 8th, 2014 and charged with failing to attend for prints. It is alleged that on May 5th, 2014 the woman failed to attend police headquarters as required for prints and an investigation ensued. On May 8th, 2014 the woman was located at a Second Street address and taken into custody. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – Sarah Lindsay, 37 of St-Catherines was arrested on May 8th, 2014 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged that during 2008-2014 the woman had contacted a 36-year-old Long Sault woman by way of phone calls and Facebook despite having been warned by police not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 8th, 2014 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 26th, 2014.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL INTERFERENCE

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 8th, 2014 and charged with sexual assault and sexual interference. It is alleged that during the month of January, 2014 the man inappropriately touched his 14-year-old stepdaughter. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 8th, 2014 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 3rd, 2014. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

BREAK AND ENTER, COMMIT INDICTIBLE OFFENCE

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 9th, 2014 and charged with break and enter, commit indictable offence. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of May 9th, 2014 the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence and forced his way in where he assaulted a 24-year-old man. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victims in the matter.

CARE AND CONTROL

Cornwall, ON – Kelly Tan, 43 of Long Sault was arrested on May 9th, 2014 and charged with care and controls as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of May 9th, 2014 the man was found to be in the care and control of a parked vehicle on Marlborough South while under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on May 20th, 2014.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – John-Paul Cook, 58 of Cornwall was arrested on May 7th, 2014 and charged with breaching his undertaking for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breaching a probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on May 7th, 2014 police attended a Marlborough Street address for a disturbance call. Once on scene they spoke with the man and found him to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
