CORNWALL, Ontario – Two city men face drug trafficking charges after police found meth, weed and cash during a traffic stop Wednesday.

‘No one comes out clean ridin’ dirty’

Robert Lacelle, 26, and Joseph Lepage, 28, were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Lacelle was also charged with property obtained by crime and possession of marijuana.

Both men were taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

‘Texting thumb is the new itchy trigger finger’

Cornwall police reported that a city woman, 23, blew up her ex’s cell on July 27 with texts messages and phone calls despite being on conditions not to contact him.

The woman attended police HQ on July 30 to deal with the matter and was arrested.

She was charged with breach of undertaking for having communicated with someone that she has conditions not to and for failing to keep the peace.

The woman was held for a bail hearing.

‘Homewrecker takes new meaning’

Cornwall police reported that a city man, 24, caused extensive damage to a Bryden Avenue residence and its contents on July 28.

Taylor Bergeron was arrested on July 30 and charged with mischief over $5,000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.

The man was held for a bail hearing.
