CORNWALL. Ontario – A city man is facing three counts of fraud after being arrested on Thursday for depositing empty envelopes into an ATM back in July.
‘Not-so-funny money’
On August 7, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter.
Jason Anderson, 20, was arrested and released to appear in court on September 30.
‘Drinking and driving don’t mix’
A Cornwall woman already under conditions not to drink booze was arrested at a traffic stop for driving while under the influence of alcohol early Friday morning.
She was taken into custody after a brief struggle and charged with a breach of recognizance and resist arrest.
Deborah Cooper, 44, was transported to police headquarters and released to appear in court at a later date.
‘No time for the law’
City cops taught a local teen on probation that breaking curfew is a much worse offence with the law than it is with parents.
Cornwall police responded to a suspicious person call early Friday morning near Seventh Street and Killarney Avenue.
A 17-year-old youth was apprehended, charged with breaching an undertaking for being out past curfew and failing to keep the peace.
He was held for a bail hearing.
