CORNWALL, Ontario – A bad case of the Mondays – police raided a suspected Cornwall drug dealer’s extensive stash of pot, hash, cocaine, Xanax, and meth on August 11.

Members of the Cornwall Emergency Response Team and the Street Crime Unit arrested Simon Dupuis, 40, after executing a drug warrant at a Vincent Massey Drive address.

Dupuis faces numerous drug possession and drug trafficking charges, as well as a charge for property obtained by crime. A quantity of cash was also confiscated during the bust.

He was held for a bail hearing.

‘Leadfoot takes police for a short ride’

A Morrisburg man, 20, received a crash course in law for being a parking lot speedster at a Brookdale mall on August 10.

City cops reported that Matthew Picano was driving dangerously and failed to stop when they attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

The next day he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter.

The man was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from police.

He’s scheduled to appear in court on September 16.

‘Arresting developments at CCH’

In less than a week, two Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) staff members have been victimized by either patients or visitors.

A Cornwall woman, 27, was arrested on Friday, August 8, for threatening to choke a CCH employee the day before.

Carmel Roseler was charged with threats to life and breach of two probation orders for failing to keep the peace.

She was held her for a bail hearing.

Meanwhile, on August 5, Martintown resident Ronald Kenny, 51, was arrested for pulling the hair of a CCH staff member. The incident happened on August 1.
