CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 59-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 7, 2016 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged on Oct. 7, 2016 the intoxicated man repeatedly contacted his wife’s place of employment and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
CORNWALL, Ontario – Parminder Multani, 33 of Montreal was arrested on Oct. 8, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on Oct. 8, 2016 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Brookdale Avenue. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 20, 2016.
CORNWALL, Ontario – Moeiz Baqi, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 8, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on October 8th, 2016 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Brookdale Avenue and Thirteenth Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 20, 2016.
ASSAULT
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 9, 2016 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on Oct. 8, 2016 the man grabbed and damaged his ex-girlfriend’s clothing and police were contacted to investigate. On Oct. 9, 2016 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
UNLAWFULLY IN A DWELLING, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, BREACH
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 10, 2016 and charged with criminal harassment, unlawfully in a dwelling and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man entered his ex-girlfriend’s residence without permission and repeatedly contacted her despite having been warned by police not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
