Man arrested for drunk driving near Fourth and Malborough

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

CORNWALL, Ontario – Scott Anderson, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on October 13th, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on Oct. 13, 2016 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Fourth Street and Marlborough Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 25, 2016.

 

WARRANT

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 13, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged between July, 2016 and September, 2016 the man repeatedly communicated and threatened his ex-common-law wife, breaching his probation for communicating with her and failing to keep the peace. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 13th, 2016 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service assumed custody of the man from the Ontario Provincial Police as they had the man in custody on Cornwall`s warrant. He was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Frederico Belmonte, 45 of Long Sault was arrested on Oct. 13, 2016 and charged with breach of recognizance for being in possession of a cell phone. It is alleged on Oct. 13, 2016 the man was found to be in possession of a cell phone during a traffic stop despite his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 22, 2016.

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 13, 2016 and charged with breach of probation for having contact with his girlfriend and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on Oct. 13, 2016 while investigating a disturbance police found the man in breach of his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim.
