BREACH OF UNDERTAKING: Ronald Paul Boots, 55, of Akwesasne was arrested on the 21st of July, 2011 for breaching his conditions.  He was bound by an Undertaking Order with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Abstain from the consumption of alcohol.  On the offence date, police attended the area of York Street in response to an intoxicated male.  The male was located and investigation revealed that he was breaching his conditions.  He was charged accordingly and he is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges. 

ASSAULT, ASSAULT A PEACE OFFICER and BREACH OF PROBATION: Lois Ann Zeron, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on the 21st of July, 2011 following an assault investigation.  The female was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  It is alleged that she assaulted a male by punching him in the cheek.  The victim did not require medical attention.  Police were contacted and an investigation commenced.  As police were attempting to arrest the female, it is alleged that she kicked a Community Patrol officer.  The officer was not injured from the assault.  The female is facing 1 count of Assault, 1 count of Assault a Peace Officer and 1 count of Breach of Probation.  She was held in custody until court on the 22nd of July, 2011.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF: A 36 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 21st of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. It is alleged that during an argument with his 33 year-old common law spouse, he caused damage to household property.  Police were contacted and the male is facing 1 count of Mischief Under $5,000.00.  He was held in custody until court.  His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESION OF A WEAPON, DEATH THREATS, OVERCOMING RESISTANCE and BREACHES: Dalton Josef Tyo, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on the 21st of July, 2011 following an assault investigation.  The male was bound by a Recognizance Order with a curfew condition.  He was further bound by 2 Probation Orders with the same condition: To Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  It is alleged that the male attended an east end residence and assaulted another male by pushing him to the ground.  It is also alleged that the male displayed a knife and further threatened the victim with the weapon.  Police also allege that the male uttered a threat to cause the victim bodily harm and he attempted to choke him.  As a result of the police investigation, the male is facing 1 count of Assault, 1 count of Assault with a Weapon, 1 count of Possession of a Weapon, 1 count of Utter a Threat to cause Bodily Harm, 1 count of Overcoming Resistance (choking), 1 count of Breach of Recognizance and 1 count of Breach of Probation.  He was held in custody until court on the 22nd of July, 2011.

MOTOR VEHICLE INVESTIGATION COMPLETED: The Cornwall Community Police Service has completed the investigation into the fatal motor vehicle collision which occurred on June 16, 2011 at the intersection of South Branch Road and McConnell Avenue in the City of Cornwall. The driver of the 1999 Chevrolet Sierra pickup truck, Brock Baker, 25, of St Andrews West, Ontario is charged with Left turn – Fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision. The owner of the pickup truck, Timothy Corput, 32, of Bainsville, Ontario is charged with Improper Tires. They are scheduled to appear in court on August 23, 2011 to answer to their respective charges.
