THEFT
Cornwall, ON- Rene Lang, 42 of Cornwall was arrested on January 3rd, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order and an Undertaking with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on January 3rd, 2013 he attended a Water Street store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for them. He was detained by the store’s loss prevention officers when he caused damage to property. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Theft under $5000, Mischief under $5000, Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day.
THEFT & ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- Patrick Beauvais, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on January 3rd, 2013. It is alleged that on December 7th, 2012 he attended a Second Street East store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for them. Upon being detained, he assaulted the 21-year-old loss prevention officer. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Theft under $5000 and Assault. He was held in custody until court later that day.
