WARRANT

A 23-year-old Sutton, Quebec, man was arrested on March 13th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that between March 1st, 2013 and March 11th, 2013 he continuously contacted his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend by text and phone calls and a warrant was issued. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Criminal Harassment and held in custody until court later that day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this matter.

Marnie Jorgensen, 46 of Akwesasne was arrested on March 13th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on February 26th, 2013 failed to attend for fingerprints and a warrant was issued. She turned herself in to police and was released to appear in court on April 16th, 2013.

 

THEFT

Ray Greenwood, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on March 13th, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and not to associate or communicate directly or indirectly with a certain female without written consent. It is alleged that on March 3rd, 2013 he attended a Ninth Street store with the certain female when he removed property without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Theft under $5000 and 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on April 2nd, 2013.

 

FLIGHT FROM POLICE, FAIL TO REMAIN & BREACHES

An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 14th, 2013. He was bound by a Youth Criminal Justice Act Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on March 14th, 2013 shortly after 2:00 am he was operating a motor vehicle on Fourth Street when he failed to follow the rules of the road, failed to stop for police and collided with a hydro pole. He also fled the scene of the accident. He was not injured. He was charged with Flight from Police, Fail to Remain at a scene of accident, Failure to comply with sentence and several Highway traffic Act offences. He was held in custody until court later that day.

A 16-year-old female passenger of the motor vehicle was also charged with obstruct police when she allegedly refused to stay away from the motor vehicle during the police investigation. She was released to an adult with a court date of April 18th, 2013. She suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. Their names were not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
