HENRI – Lorraine (Tremblay)

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, age 79 years. Beloved wife of the late Jean-Paul (Sugar) Henri. Dear mother of Michel Henri and Diane Whitney (John) and the late Aline Van Dalen (Eric). Sadly missed by 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Survived by 3 sisters, Lucille Tremblay-Clairmont, Paulette Tremblay-Ethier and Florence Tremblay-Lanois (Gaston). Predeceased by her parents, Wilfrid and Aline (Longtin) Tremblay and one brother, Robert Tremblay. Also survived by a special friend, Jeannine Leclair. Rite of Committal, Notre Dame Cemetery.

McARTHUR – Garry

Passed away on Monday, August 18, 2008. Mr. Garry McArthur, (retired teacher), of Summerstown, Ontario, age 66 years. Beloved husband of 40 years of Catherine McArthur (née MacCuaig). Loving father of Tracey Moffatt (Scott) of Glen Roy and Tara McArthur-Eamer (Matthew) of Williamstown, Ontario. Dear brother of Arthur McArthur (Madeline) of Cornwall, Ontario, Gweneth Thirlwell (Michael) of Montreal, Quebec, Marjorie McArthur of Cornwall and Kathleen McArthur of Toronto, Ontario. Predeceased by one sister, Nancy Cooper. Dear son of the late James McArthur and the late Gweneth Gordon. Will be missed by 5 grandchildren, Michael, Kate and Robbie Moffatt and Grace and Mac Eamer and also many nieces and nephews. Rested at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., Lancaster, Ontario. Funeral Service was held in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, South Lancaster, Aug. 22. Cremation.

CEASER – Sally Jean

Passed away on Monday, August 18, 2008. Mrs. Sally Ceaser of Long Sault, Ontario, age 62 years. Graduate of the Cornwall General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1965. Beloved wife of Jack Ceaser. Loved mother of Kimberley Nowak (Chris) of Kingston, Ontario, Jonathan (Michelle) of Calgary and Kevin (Enza) of Cornwall, Ontario. Dear sister of George Boileau (Julia) of Castleton, Gary Boileau (Hazel) of Pickering, Ontario and Ann Marcus (Donald) of Edmonton. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Rebeka, Matthew, Nathan, Katrina, Zachary, Emma, Alexandra and Lauren. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Rested at the Wilson Funeral Home, Cornwall. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell was celebrated in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Long Sault. Rite of Committal in Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall.

LAVIGNE – Lucien

Passed away at the Barrie Memorial Hospital, Ormstown, Québec on Saturday, August 16, 2008. Mr. Lucien René Lavigne of Cornwall, Ontario, (former owner of Lavigne’s Rooming House and former owner of Lavigne’s Variety Store), age 76 years. Beloved husband of the late Laurette (Leger) Lavigne. Dear father of Suzanne Driscoll (Bernie), André Lavigne (Manon), Nicole Lavigne and Pierre Lavigne (Cathy) all of Cornwall. Loving grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one grandson, Corey. Dear son of the late Samuel Lavigne and the late Alice (Marchand) Lavigne. Dear brother of Aldea Tessier (Romuald), Jacqueline Séguin (René) and Cécile Cousineau (Rodolphe) all of Cornwall and Denise Lemire (Guy) of Chateauguay, Québec. Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital – McConnell Site on Saturday, August 16, 2008. John Alexander Primeau formerly of Cornwall at the age of 63 years. Beloved husband of Laverne (Montsion) Primeau. Loving father of Tanya and James Primeau both of Cornwall. Dear step-father of Lucien Labelle-Stackhouse (Ian) of Toronto, Terry-Lyn Labelle (Art Locker) and Stuart Labelle both of Cornwall. Cherished grandfather of Katelynn Bancroft, Jade Locker, Kristine Flaro and Isaac Derouchie. Beloved son of the late Alex Primeau and the late Simone (Lapensee) Primeau. Passed away at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre on Thursday, August 14, 2008. Christabel (Chris) (McKenzie) Butters formerly of Cornwall at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Donald Butters. Loving mother of Kenneth Butters (Judith) of Cornwall and Kathleen (Lynne) Wills (John) of Northville, Michigan. Predeceased by one son Donald Butters (Marilyn). Cherished grandmother of Scott, Neil, Janice (Roger), Brian (Brianna), Allison (Jeff) and four great-grandchildren. Beloved daughter of the late Neil McKenzie and the late Sarah (McAllister) McKenzie. Passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of the late Mildred Mary (LeBlanc) Dupras. Dear father of Diane, Barbara, Katherine (Rick), Sandra (Darryll), Ricky (Bev) and Timmy. Sadly missed by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters Mona Bough (David), Barbara Quigg (Patrick) and two brothers Edward Dupras (Nicole) and Maurice Dupras (late Sue). Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site on Thursday, August 14, 2008. Mr. Edward Robert Johnson of Cornwall, Ontario, age 81 years. Beloved husband for 57 years of Michelyne (Grignon) Johnson. Dear father of Patrick Johnson of Courtney, B.C., Anthony Johnson of Ottawa, Ontario, Carroll Brown (Daniel) of Chilliwack, B.C. and Michele Vinnins (Michael) of Smiths Falls. Cherished grandfather of Heather, Alexander, Rachel, Rebecca, Emily, Shawn and Savannah. Dear son of the late George Edward Johnson and the late Anne (Carroll) Johnson. Dear brother of Ann Miller (Harry) of Brockville, Ontario and Mary Johnson of Ottawa. Cremation. A memorial service was held on Aug. 19 in St. Francis de Sales Church. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Dear son of the late George Percy and the late Mabel Nellis.
