It’s not worth it. Because life goes by very fast and if you don’t appreciate it and you let things get to you, you won’t enjoy it.
You’ve heard someone say that before? Well it’s never been truer in the world we live in. With all the environmental issues, war and over importance on physical appearance, we often don’t enjoy the best things in life.
A nice walk along the river, relaxing on the patio on a hot summer day, paying an unexpected visit to a loved one or simply spending a quiet moment by yourself are all things you can do to avoid letting the world get to you.
The stress we put upon ourselves simply isn’t worth our precious time. Enjoy anything and everything you love while you still can. You may not be here tomorrow. Life if very short and if you don’t stop or slow down and take it all in, it will pass you by. Sounds like you’ve heard that one before too? Just because you’ve heard it before doesn’t make it untrue.
A few extra dollars on your tax bill from the City should not be the end of the world. Taxes are inevitable and a cut in essential services is not the answer. Don’t let it get to you and simply let it roll off your shoulder.
For those of you with stressful jobs, take a deep breath when things get crazy and don’t bring your worries home with you. Once you step out of the office and into your home, your mood should change. If your boss was on your case and/or your co-workers were in a bad mood, leave it at the office. If you’re being underappreciated at work or you think you might lose your job, do your best and just let it roll off your shoulder.
Play with your kids, your animals, your friends or your video games. Read a book, have a beer, take a nap and just relax. Give you wife or husband a kiss. Tell them how much you love them, make love to them. Sex is very healing and healthy. It’s good for your skin, reduces stress, boosts your immune system, burns calories and or course, it gets your mind off things allowing everything to just roll off your shoulder.
If you’re having relationship problems, just be yourself, communicate your feelings and once again, just let it roll off your shoulder. There are plenty of fish in the sea and one of them is bound to like you just the way you are.
Financial problems are often a source of stress and anxiety. Stop buying things you don’t need. You’ll likely end up throwing it out or giving it away. Most of our purchases are just items we use to avoid facing the facts of life. Save your cash for bills, home repairs and nutritious foods.
And finally, some things are just out of your hands: traffics jams, long line-ups at the store, crying kids, angry people, bad weather, inflation and so much more. Just let it all roll off your shoulder.
