Dear Editor,

Laurier Optical is committing 1 million dollars in eyewear and eyecare to Haiti. We will be sending a team of professionals to Haiti to do eye exams and dispense eyeglasses. Through the media we are asking all communities to become involved and donate their used eyeglasses. The frames will be refurbished and new prescription lenses will be put in. Old eyeglasses can be dropped off at any of our stores throughout Ontario and Quebec. Many people have called and are sending us their used eye glasses as well as offering their help. Through our colleges and associations we have also been asking for volunteers through our colleges and associations and many people are coming forward. Some of our volunteers are from our competitors and our suppliers are donating frames and lenses to this cause. Please drop your used eyeglasses at Laurier Optical located in Cornwall Square.
