Micro-finance in Haiti

Dear Editor,

It would be so great, in the coming years, to see our government directing more of Canadian aid towards micro-finance in Haiti and other poor countries! By targeting the poor among the poor, those living with a few dollars a day, we would truly help them improve their condition and their future. I am sure small loans – from $20 to $200 – would make all the difference in the world for a number of our brothers and sisters down there.
