Fair contract offer

Dear Editor,

I'm writing this letter regarding the offer to the college teachers which I believe is about 6 percent over three years. Take the offer and run if this is the main issue towards reaching an agreement. I am a pensioner on a fixed income so try this info on for size before you vote to strike. My O.A.S. pension (Old Age Security) has not increased since October of 2008, my C.P.P. pension (Canada Pension Plan) this year increased 0.4 percent and my O.P.B pension (Ontario Pension Board) increased by 0.5 percent. I would love an increase of two percent each year for the next three years. So my advice to the teachers is take the offer which in my opinion is very fair. Earle Macpherson
