Dear Editor,

You must be so proud of Mr. Harper's efforts to lead the G8 Summit in the direction of Children and Women's Rights. Mr. Harper is so adept at his Speeches and News Releases stating his support behind such noble causes. It is most encouraging that the G8 Summit participants usually do not have the insight into his actions, and take his statements at face value. How embarrassing it would be Mr. Lauzon, if Mr. Harper were challenged by any of these G8 Leaders, on his credibility to push an agenda on Children and Women's Rights, when he is the one that pushed through a law removing the rights of women to sue for equal pay for work of equal value. And, Mr. Lauzon, is Mr. Harper not the one who cancelled the National Early Childhood Education Program, aimed at providing affordable daycare, with National standards on care and training? Yes Mr. Lauzon, how fortunate we are indeed, that we have a leader who does not let his actions stand in the way of nice words. Jack White,

Cornwall
