“The Land Down Under” is famous for many things, one of which is the use of the boomerang. Yes, Australia is known for this intriguing flying device. I have tried to use one myself with some limited success. This simple, curved, flat wooden instrument has some very powerful lessons to teach people whose feet are still in touch with terra ferma. Talk about a come-back! Here are four key lessons for life in the real world that can be drawn from observing the flight pattern of a skillfully thrown boomerang. # 1 – The wrong doings of a human being can come back to haunt him in his conscience unless dealt with quickly and honestly. # 2 – The person who is aware of personal sin must come back to the living God in genuine repentance and true faith. # 3 – The Bible truths which one learns earlier in life can come back to one’s memory to convict, help, direct, and comfort. # 4 – Jesus Christ the Saviour who came so long ago to earth will come back again some day in great power, glory, and victory! Please don’t forget the spiritual boomerang effect! How does your own life line up with this important four-fold principle? How does it fly with you?
