Passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the age of 87 years. (Retired teacher with the SD&G Roman Catholic Separate School Board). Predeceased by his wife Lucille Senecal. Survived by his two sons, Terrence McCormick (Kathy) of Long Sault and David McCormick (Valerie) of Cornwall. Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren Laleah, Meghann, Courtney, Shane, Amy, Tara, and Kathleen and by 7 great-grandchildren Alexandra, Isabella, Augusta, Sebastian, Torrie, Haevyn, and Harley. Predeceased by his parents Daniel C. McCormick and Florence O’Byrne, sisters Dorothy (Mrs. Percy Hickson), Rita (Mrs. Ted Hill), Hazel (Mrs. Leslie McCrank) and brothers Freddie and Lawrence. Funeral took place on Monday, December 15 at St. Francis de Sales Church. Rite of Committal at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery.
