BENBOW, Harold - Peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital McConnel Site on Thursday November 22, 2012, age 77 years. Harold Benbow of Cornwall and formerly of Finch. Dear step-father to Kimberly Hamel, Michele Hamel and Shawn Kaye (Michelle) all of Cornwall. Sadly missed by four step-grandchildren Ryanne, Robert, Joseph, Chantal and six great step- grandchildren Miriam, Lilly, Emmalee, Rogen, Jolene and Caden. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Laura Benbow and several brothers and sisters. To honour Harold's wishes, Cremation has taken place. PILGRIM, Myrtle (née Sauve) - Mrs. Myrtle Pilgrim passed away at Hospice Cornwall on Sunday, November 18, 2012, age 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Vincent "Vinny" Pilgrim. She leaves behind her loving children, family and many friends. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service was held at Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall. EAMER, James - Peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Thursday November 22, 2012, age 80 years. James Darcel Eamer of Long Sault Villa and formerly of Northfield. Former husband to Joan Cameron of Ingleside. Cherished father of David Eamer (Jane) of Edmonton, Darlene Kinnear, Diana Bilmer, Joyce Alguire (Reg) and Judy Mason (Morgan) all of Ingleside. Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Arden and Sadie (Tinkess) Eamer; one son Charley Bilmer (Elaine of B.C.); three brothers Ross, Earl (Lula of Cornwall), Sterling and two sisters Lillian Alguire and Nola Crossman. BENOIT, John - Mr. Jean Gérard Benoit of Crysler at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 23, 2012, age 82 years. Former proprietor of the Crysler General Store, Past Fire Chief, and Member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6809. Beloved husband of 56 years to Gabrielle "Gaye" (née Legault). Loved father of Paul (Suzanne Begg), Lynne (Daniel Laflèche) and Marc (Trish O'Callaghan) all of Crysler. Proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Hubert (Ghislaine), Louise Fox (late Don), Adele Jackson (Norm) and Claire Wilson (Ronald). Sgt. Mervyn Milton Baker -  1930-2012, Retired Durham Regional Police Service Mervyn passed away on Monday, November 19th, 2012 at home after a long battle with cancer. Beloved companion and best friend of Cecile Paquin for 21 years. Loving father of daughter Joanne Frances Albert of Cornwall, and son Pastor Matthew Milton Baker (Candace) of Ajax, Ontario. Beloved step-father of Lyn Paquin, Blake Paquin (Carol) and Jerry Paquin, all of Cornwall, Ontario. Beloved Poppi to grandchildren Shannon, LeeAnn, Jessie and Bayley. Great Poppi to Emma, Timothy and Ethan. Predeceased by his parents Joseph Milton Baker and Lilian Frances Baker née (Skyme). Also his sister Sylvia Patricia Edwards and one great-grandchild Rylee. MCQUAIG, Reg - Passed away peacefully with his beloved spouse Debbie by his side, on Thursday, November 22, 2012 in his 70th year at the St. Catharine's General Hospital. Reg will be lovingly remembered by his children Deborah (Doug) and Stephen (Pam) of Calgary, Alberta, and their mother Judith. He will also be remembered by his step-children Barry (Allison) and Ryan Kilgour, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Cyndi of Bradford. Cherished son-in-law of Audrey and Emery Doucette of Welland. Dear brother-in-law of Jeff and Linda of British Columbia. Reg leaves behind many nieces and nephews, with special thanks to Don and Georgina, Kathy and Ryan, Lori and Kim. After retiring from 35 years of service at the Bank of Nova Scotia, Reg spent every waking moment at the family cottage in Glen Walter, Ontario. It was his piece of paradise. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses in the Oncology unit for their care and compassion. In accordance with Reg's wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines.
