CARON, Roméo -Passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday December 23, 2012. Roméo Caron of Cornwall; age 73 years. Beloved husband of Patsy Caron and predeceased by his first wife Lillian Mitchell. Dear father of Lisa Granger (Christopher), Nathen, Evan Caron all of Cornwall and Tara Coon of Ottawa. Cherished grandfather of Owen. Survived by his brothers Edgar (late Jacqueline), Gordon (Fran) Francoise and Rolland (Rose) Caron and sisters Jeannine Bergeron (Floyd) and Rejeanne Perreault (Rheal). Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Barbara and Muriel Caron, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents the late Wilfred and the late Amelia (Struthers) Caron, brothers Maurice, Lionel and Roger Caron and his sister Fleurette Gerow. Cremation. BRYDGES, James - Passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Heart Institute, on Friday December 21, 2012; age 67 years. Beloved husband of Estelle (Lapensée) Brydges. Survived by his sister Susan Brydges of Edmonton, Alberta. Predeceased by his parents the late Robert Brydges and the late Elizabeth (Mackie) Brydges. He will be sadly missed by all relatives and friends in Canada and the US. He retired as an Electric Engineer from CBC in Montreal in 1997. Cremation. BROWNLEE, Sylvia Jean (Née Hitsman) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished mother Sylvia Jean Brownlee at the Cornwall Community Hospital - MC Connell Site on Wednesday December 26, 2012 at the age of 70 years. Loving mother of Troy Hagen (Lynn), Tracy Hagen and Todd Hagen. Dear daughter of the late George and Emma Hitsman (Née Finlay). WINTERS, Kenneth Markell - April 4, 1919 - December 20, 2012 The family wishes to notify his friends of the death of Kenneth M. Winters at the Kiwanis Care Center in North Vancouver, British Columbia at the age of 93. He succumbed following several years of progressive kidney failure. Before moving to British Columbia, Ken was a long-time resident of Cornwall, Ontario where he raised his family. He was a master machinist at the Domtar fine paper mill in Cornwall for many years until his retirement. A skillful card player, he always enjoyed a game of cribbage, euchre, or bridge. After moving to North Vancouver, Ken and his late wife, Madolyn, enjoyed playing bridge together at St. Anthony's and St. Steven's Catholic Churches on the North Shore. Ken continued to play bridge with family and friends until kidney failure left him unable to play. Ken and Madolyn were members of the St. Steven's congregation. His daughter and eldest child, Cheryl Ann Winters Wade, and his son, Stephen K. Winters, survive Ken, a devoted husband and father. A brother, Gladstone Winters and a sister, Gladys Bender, as well a grandson, Dr. Justin Wade and granddaughter, Julia Winters, also survive Ken. Ken will be interned next to his beloved wife in Finch, Ontario in the spring of 2013. In lieu of Flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada

DUFRESNE, Barbara - Passed away suddenly at the Parisien Manor, Cornwall on Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Barbara Margaret Dufresne (nee Derouchie); age 72 years. Beloved wife of the late Edward Dufresne. Loving mother of John Taillon (Carmalena), Sharon Taillon, Charyel Meilleur (Kevin), the late Charlene Howells (Phil), Karen Taillon (Gilbert Despatie), Robert Taillon and Heather Ward (Russell). Survived by her brother Earl Derouchie (Catherine) but predeceased by 8 siblings. Daughter of the late John Derouchie and the late Theresa Lefebvre. Barbara will be missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
