VILLENEUVE, Maurice - Passed away peacefully at Cornwall Hospice on Friday, February 15, 2013, age 73 years. Maurice Villeneuve of Long Sault. Beloved husband of Lois Villeneuve (née Lalonde). Loved father of Marc (Katrina) of Cornwall, Joanne Walker (Todd), Craig (Cindy) all of Ingleside and Denis (Laurie) of Newington. Dear brother of John (Mary) of Monkland, Raymond (Sharon) of Maxville and Michael (Guylaine) of Moose Creek. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Grace, Keira, Noah, Adam, Evan, Mary, Makayla, Devon, Morgan and Owen. Predeceased by his parents Sylvio and Beatrice (Beauchamp) Villeneuve and two brothers Gerald and Bernie. Cremation. Visitation will be held at the BROWNLEE FUNERAL HOME MacDougall Chapel, 14815 County Road 2, Ingleside on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass in celebration of Maurice Villeneuve's life will be held in Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Ingleside on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 11am. Beloved wife of the late John Thompson. Dear mother of Wanda Thomas (Bud) of Cornwall. Loving grandmother of Jeffery (Valerie) and Jason (Sue Sauve). Daughter of the late Thomas Williams and the late Margaret Williams (Maxwell). Predeceased by brother Arvon Williams and by sisters Ena MacGibbon, Ethel Wilson, Anne Williams and Edith Seaver. Fille de feu Hormidas Rivet et de feu Hermine Rivet (Hébert). Prédécédée de son fils Gary Fritz ainsi que ses soeurs Fleurette (Raoul) Nadeau, Jeanne (Yvon) Deschamps, Rita (Lyman) Decaire. MURPHY, Allan Brian - In his 69th year, passed away peacefully after a brief illness with cancer on Sunday, February 11, 2013. He will be greatly missed by his loving companion of 37 years, Josephine Jacques. Father of David (Kim), Cindy (Tom Varley) and Donna (Scott Gladstone) and step-father of Doreen (Jacques Kahalé), Judy (Michael Savic), Allen (Jo-Anne) Jacques, Nancy (Steven Saucier), Karen (Eric Irvine) and Lynn (Grant Leslie). He leaves behind his grandchildren Chantelle, Charnelle, Cassandra, Tyler, Ellie, great-granddaughter, Sophia and 14 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Brother of Catherine (Gary Kavanagh) and Margaret Richards. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Dorothy Murphy and siblings Patricia, Donald, Jean, Jim, Shirley and Michael. He will be sorely missed by his faithful dog, Buddy. STOKES, George - George Nathaniel Stokes in his 88th year, passed away peacefully at Hospice Cornwall on Saturday, February 16, 2013 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Jean Stokes (née Plomondon) for 62 years. Loving father of Karen and David Thompson of Kanata, Janice and Robert McGillis of Brockville and David Stokes of Cornwall. Cherished grandfather to Kathleen, Shannon, Olivia and Anna. George was born in Glen Burnie, Ontario, the son of Charles and Edith Stokes and the eldest brother of William, Margaret, Marjorie and Doris. George was a member of Corinthian Masonic Lodge No. 669, charter president of Club 13 S.D. & G. Cornwall Shrine Club Karnak Temple and member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Visitation will be held at BROWNLEE FUNERAL HOME MacDougall Chapel on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. CARSON, Mavis - Ms Mavis Elizabeth Carson passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital - McConnell Site on Saturday, February 16, 2013, age 74 years. Beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Kathryne (Hodgins) Carson. Loved sister of Mary Hutchings (William), Evelyn Hyde (Lloyd), Tom Carson (late Jean), Lila Howard, Nancy Hussey (Larry), Donna Drinkwater (Davis), David Carson (Cathy) and Patti Carson (Christine). Predeceased by her infant sister Heather. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends, as well as her beloved cat, Daisy. In keeping with her wishes, Cremation has taken place. Burial to take place in Hillcrest Cemetery, Newington in the spring.
