MURPHY, Allan Brian - In his 69th year, passed away peacefully after a brief illness with cancer on Sunday, February 11, 2013. He will be greatly missed by his loving companion of 37 years, Josephine Jacques. Father of David (Kim), Cindy (Tom Varley) and Donna (Scott Gladstone) and step-father of Doreen (Jacques Kahalé), Judy (Michael Savic), Allen (Jo-Anne) Jacques, Nancy (Steven Saucier), Karen (Eric Irvine) and Lynn (Grant Leslie). He leaves behind his grandchildren Chantelle, Charnelle, Cassandra, Tyler, Ellie, great-granddaughter, Sophia and 14 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Brother of Catherine (Gary Kavanagh) and Margaret Richards. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Dorothy Murphy and siblings Patricia, Donald, Jean, Jim, Shirley and Michael. He will be sorely missed by his faithful dog, Buddy. George was a member of Corinthian Masonic Lodge No. 669, charter president of Club 13 S.D. & G. Cornwall Shrine Club Karnak Temple and member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
