Lionel was past President of the Cornwall Club, Cornwall Shrine Club and past vice chairman of Shriners Hospitals for Children and Via Rail Board Member. Lionel showed great courage and strength throughout his life. He demonstrated strong family values, gentleness and humour and encouraged these qualities in his family, who both admired and loved him deeply.
