SMITH, Ivan Percival - Passed away at St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre on Monday, September 2, 2013, age 88 years. Dear father of Kenneth, Deborah (Desmond), Gail (Kim), Brenda, Mike, Ian (Sherry), Susan (Mark) and Mark. Sadly missed by eight grandchildren, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Maxwell, Chelsea, Jett, Emaleen and Brandon. Also survived by one sister Barbara. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Nellie Bell (Casselman) Smith, one sister Vida and two brothers, Garnet and Arnold. Friends will be received at the M. NOVAK, Glenda (Chalmers) - Born Jan. 11, 1936, passed away at Hospice Cornwall on Friday, August 30, 2013, surrounded by her family and held in love. Glenda will be missed each day by her beloved husband, John Novak; children Lisa Chalmers and Robert Foster; Kirk Chalmers; Kent and Karen Chalmers; and Marlene Chalmers, and her sister Diane Sargent. Grandchildren Alexandra, Heath and Calum Foster of Cornwall will miss Gran's love, laughter, and deep sense of joy. Glenda joins her first born son, Larry Chalmers who passed away in 2008. Visitation and Funeral will be in Kingston at the Salvation Army Citadel, 816 Centennial Dr. Sept. 6th from 6-8pm and Sept. 7, 2013 from 10-11am. The Funeral is at 11am, with luncheon following. Donations may be made in memory of Glenda to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
McDONALD, John C. (Jack) - Our beloved father, passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday, September 2, 2013 at his residence at Indian River Estates in Vero Beach, Florida, age 85 years. Born on December 24, 1927, to Charles and Betty McDonald, Jack was raised in Geneseo, NY and attended Syracuse University. Jack moved his family to Cornwall in 1961, where he was the well respected president of Sovereign Products Ltd. and Fingerhut International Inc. until he moved to Vero Beach Fl., where he was held in high esteem as Vice President and General Manager of Hale Indian River Groves. Jack is predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years, Shirley (née Hubbard), his sister Geraldine Maxson and his grandson George McDonald Edgerton. He will be sadly missed by his son, John and daughter-in-law Valerie of Cornwall, his devoted daughter, Terry Edgerton and son-in- law Richard, of Palmetto Florida, his devoted daughter Lynn Fiske of Vero Beach Florida; his surviving sister-in-law Marion Ikins, his six loving grandchildren Shannon, Megan, Lauren, Constance, Richard and Drew and his adoring great-grandson, Dylan.
