SOULSBY, Margaret Anne (née Chadwick) - Meg (aka Topsy) was the youngest of seven children born into a loving, Christian family in southern England. Following the war, Meg became a speech therapist and worked in London until setting off on an around-the-world adventure in the mid-fifties. Her first port of call was Montreal where she met and married John Soulsby thus prematurely ending the around-the-world adventure. However, a new adventure began shortly thereafter when John and Meg started a family with the addition of son, Rohan and daughters, Alison (Tao) and Joanne. Meg and John moved to Cornwall, Ontario in the mid-80s and to Sherborne, Meg's native England, when they retired. Meg loved her family, scrabble, tennis and crosswords. Her rapier wit was admired by all who knew her. She lived a deeply spiritual, Christian life. Her actions and her words touched and comforted countless numbers of people - friends and strangers alike - in their time of need. Meg has gone to be with her husband of 38 years, John, Tao, sister-in-law Ann Soulsby and the rest of her family. She leaves behind a brother, Peter, children Rohan and Joanne, daughter-in-law Veronica and grandchildren Megan, Nicole and Aidan. A mother, an artist, a wife, a poet, a grandmother, a singer and a saint, Meg lived her life preparing for the day she would meet Jesus and that day has come.
