1 height:500px;width:398px Mayor Bob Kilger signed a proclamation for  “Wheels of Hope Day,” on Thursday, Oct. 25, at City Hall. The day brings awareness to the transportation service that the Canadian Cancer Society provides to those living with cancer. The service is free of charge to clients for transportation to and from treatment. Back row: Mr. Gary Postma, principal, Reuben Van den Broek, Siena Dean and Sarah Don. 3 width:500px;height:375px More than 200,000 Grade 9 students across Canada spent the day at work, job-shadowing a parent, relative, or a friend. St. Joseph’s Continuing Care centre participated in the grade nine program. The goal of the program is to help students develop an appreciation for the importance of getting a high school diploma and pursuing post-secondary studies. Students also can develop an appreciation for their parents’ career and role in supporting their family.
