 1 width:500px;height:375px The Canadian Cancer Society would like to thank the Drive For a Cure, golf committee, who worked extremely hard on the 7th annual tournament held August 29th at Cornwall Golf and Country Club.  They raised over $16,000.  Pictured above left to right are committee members Pete Levac, Bruce Grant, Bob Piteau, Andre Pommier, Sharyn Duffey, Bill Dickie and Russ Disotell. 2 width:500px;height:288px South Stormont Fire Station #3, Newington held a very successful boot drive to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy.  Some $1576.50 was raised and  this was matched by Scotiabank for a total of $3153.00.  Attached is a photo of the cheque presentation from Scotiabank. From left are SD&G MD Coordinator Ubald Cardinal, Firefighter Rodney Beaudette, FF Keith Leroux, FF Dylan Prendergast, Capt. Dan Poirier and Scotiabank Maxville Branch Manger Matthew Dejong. 3 width:500px;height:375px The Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall has made a donation of $10,000 to the Children’s Treatment Centre.  Since the Centre was started in 1996, the Diocese has made donations of $20,000 a year for the first six years, and $10,000 a year for the past eleven years.  Seen in the photo are (l-r) Bishop Marcel Damphousse and Rev.
