Some shots that we took, or had submitted to us, from Cornwall and area.

Carol Bennett Bray of the John Stewart Memorial Trust presents a donaiton to Alyssa Blais, executive director of the Agape Centre in Cornwall. The trust provides help to the poor and deserving in the area. 1 width:500px;height:375px The Kinsmen Club of Cornwall had seven teams participate at the Tim Horton's Bowl for Kids Sake. More than $1,000 was donated, plus a pickup truck full of electronics. 2 width:500px;height:281px The Heart and Stroke Foundation was a Eamers Corners Public School bright and early Monday morning for a workshop with grades four to six, on the importance of nutrition and physical activity. Discussions included making healthy choices, whether they are home or out, said Lynne Groulx, program coordinator, with the agency. She also addressed how to improve children’s inactivity as well as the impact commercial advertising has on our nutrition. The Heart and Stroke Foundation visits schools throughout SD&G as well as Prescott-Russell with their healthy living message. Two nursing students at St-Lawrence College were also on hand to help out. Pictured (in front L-R) are grade four students Kaitlyn Brammall and Sean Cowan. In back (L-R) are Michelle Seguin, nursing student; Lynne Groulx, program coordinator, Heart and Stroke Foundation; and Amy Condie, nursing student.

3 width:500px;height:400px Giving back to the community is important to the staff and faculty at St. Lawrence College.   This year as part of their Christmas celebrations, they wanted to raise money to support Cornwall Hospice.  Through dress down day donations, donations from staff and a silent auction, over $700 was collected for Cornwall Hospice.  The College is also appreciative of the Hospice's willingness to take Health Sciences students on placement.  Pictured are some of the members of the St. Lawrence College Cornwall Campus Social Committee (L-R): Yvonne Lauzon, Amanda Lacosse and Sandra Menard with Sandy Collette, Fundraising Coordinator, Cornwall Hospice. 4 width:500px;height:334px
