After a great season and an even greater playoff, the Cornwall Colts came up one goal short.
Cornwall lost Game 7 of the Central Canada Hockey League final, 4-3 to the Nepean Raiders Sunday afternoon.
The loss was even more bitter because the final Nepean goal came with 4:29 left in the third period.
The Colts were once again outzhot by a huge margin, 32-19, and had to rely on goalie Lukas Hafner to keep them in the game - a common theme throughout the series.
Cornwall got two goals from Kevin Hope, including one in the third to tie the game 3-3. Kyle Baun had a single in the second period.
