Cornwall's Christina Julien has yet to make her Olympic debut on the field.
Julien was named to the Canadian National Women's Soccer Team, but then had her playing dreams dashed when she was re-designated as an alternate.
Her teammates have run their record to 1-1-1 at the London games, including an inspired 2-2 draw against Sweden which puts Canada into the knockout round of the Olympic tournament.
That means a date with powerhouse Britain in Friday's quarterfinal. If Julien doesn't make it into the lineup then, and Canada loses, she'll be out of luck for a chance to take the field as our national team will be done at the Olympics.
