The Cornwall River Kings won their first ever exhibition game in franchise history 8-4 over the Sorel Tracy HC Carvena at the Cornwall Civic Complex in front of more than 1,600 fans.

The River Kings got out to 4-1 lead in the first period thanks to a pair of goals from Shawn Collymore, a shorthanded marker from Maxim Chamberland and a single from Nicholas Segouin.

Goals by Steve McJannet, Steve Simoes, and Sasha Pokuluk helped seal the win. In goal, Maxime Daigneault got the start for the River Kings allowing four goals on 19 shots in the first two periods. Loic Lacasse played the third stopping all 10 shots he faced.
