Snowshoe race next weekend

The Friends of the Summerstown Trails (FOTST) will be holding the First Annual Summerstown Forest Snowshoe Race Jan. 12, starting at 10 a.m. Members of the media are invited to come out for interviews and/or photos.

It will mark thefirst race in the 2013 Dion Eastern Ontario Snowshoe Running Series.

Participants are welcome in both men's and women's divisions, and registration for the event takes place at 8:30 a.m. at Summerstown Forest, off of County Road 27.

After the race, it will be possible to try out the racing snowshoes during some pre-planned demo activity.
